The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Communications works daily to keep Arkansans informed of the workings of the ADE and of educational issues, events and achievements that occur year-round in the state.

In addition to disseminating news releases, the Office of Communications is responsible for creating and maintaining the ADE Web site – ArkansasEd.org – as well as publishing an external newsletter, Arkansas Education Matters, the Arkansas Department of Education Directory and additional education-related publications.

The office’s Media Center is responsible for photography, videography and production of PowerPoints and other presentation materials for ADE.

Through these means, the Office of Communications strives to provide information to news media and the public in an accurate and timely manner.
