Overview
The Administrators section at ArkansasEd.org is a resource for administrators in Arkansas’ 246 public school districts. From licensure information to professional development opportunities, the Arkansas Department of Education wants to provide superintendents, principals, and other school administrators with the resources they need.
2009-2010 Beginning Administrator Induction Fall Follow-Up

7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. (One full day attendance is required)
Attendance is required by all beginning administrators who attended the Beginning Administrator Induction Training in July or September of this year. Any candidate licensed under an ALCP must attend all induction training meetings each year for the life of the ALCP.
Mentors are not required to attend the Fall Follow-Up meeting but attendance is encouraged.
Registration for this event opens Friday, Oct. 30. Registration for this event closes Monday, Nov. 23. All attendees must pre-register in order to attend.

School Closing Notifications
Superintendents should include the full seven-digit LEA number of the school(s) in the e-mail message body, along with the reason for closing and any other necessary information. E-mail should be sent each day the school is closed.
If electricity is not available, notification should be made by calling the ADE at 501-683-4786. For more information, please see the Commissioner's Memo regarding this policy.
